Peace and Blessings,
The use of logic, the ability to be disciplined and focused, and the ability to identify and solve problems are a few concepts and qualities that, if used properly, could be of massive help in neutralizing any issue that may arise in life. This is even true when opposing a system as powerful, complex, ever-evolving and all-encompassing as the system of racism/white supremacy that I assert that all non-whites, but especially Black people are subjected to. Racism/white supremacy as an institution needs an environment of chaos, confusion and dis-logic to survive and thrive, and does not fare well when attacked with logic, which often reveal naked truth. The book, The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept, written by Neely Fuller Jr., venerable elder, author, speaker and what I term as a counter-racist adviser to many, a very innovative one to boot, who has worked for several decades in service of (in his words) eliminating racism/white supremacy and replacing it with a system of justice, attempts to generate badly needed, unconventional, simple, but extremely cogent and well-thought out solutions to what he, I and many others who are aware of racism/white supremacy as a system, refer to as the world’s biggest problem. Mr. Fuller explains that racism/white supremacy is the dominant factor in all areas of people activity (economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war/counter war), and he is by many accounts the first man to speak of white supremacy as a global system. He dedicates ample time to providing analysis, giving guidance and offering solutions within all of the aforementioned areas.
Before I go into what this book is and what It accomplishes in relation to its perceived intent, I will first explain what it is not. This book is not what Dr. Amos Wilson refers to as “feel good history”, which Black people can read and “feel good” about who we are or were, what we are or were, where we come from and where we are going. While that type of literature in its proper context, read at a certain stage of development, can be powerful and effective in its own right, that is not at all what this book is. Nor is it a book written from a Black/Afrikan Nationalists perspective. The ideas and concepts of sovereignty, separatism or repatriation, which in my view are noble long range goals to be worked towards now for the future, but appear to hold little relevance in the immediate day to day practical lives of many Black people caught in the hell of white supremacy at this very moment, are not discussed at length, if at all. Nor is it a book which attempts to venomously “go in” on white people or suspected white supremacists on an emotional, visceral level.
What it is is a book which offers solutions from a codified and extremely rational and logical, even somewhat “cold”, rather unemotional perspective, which can be implemented and instituted by “everyday” Black people who are looking to do their part in eliminating racism/white supremacy. This is very important, because the system of racism/white supremacy depends on an either non-logical or overly-emotional conditioned response from its victims, which can intensify the effects of the system, a completely counter-productive response, or a complete non-response altogether. The last thing that those who practice, maintain and participate in the refinement of white supremacy needs or wants is for its victims to be able to use our intellect to sharpen our use of words (as Mr. Fuller contends that the white supremacists deceptive use of words is one of the greatest weapons that they possess), define things precisely within the system, come to definitive, correct, concrete and logical conclusions based on our observations, and subsequently generate our own counter-racist approach to finding solutions to the problem.
The focus on words, speech and phrases, and the definitions and correct usage of those words, which Mr. Fuller constantly reiterates the importance of, is very unique in its value in helping to understand white supremacy, as well as how it’s maintained, and what can be done to neutralize it. Another valuable lesson offered within the book, is the focus on distributing the proper amount of time and energy, employing an almost single-minded focus toward doing whatever it is that we can do within our own personal and situational limitations, to contribute to the elimination of the most cruel, unjust evil system ever devised. The monopolization of the time and energy of the victims of white supremacy by white supremacists, who convert your expenditure of time and energy to help maintain white supremacy, is a vitally important aspect of maintaining the system. In this book, Mr. Fuller offers key suggestions on the devotion of your time and energy to the most important cause in existence. Mr. Fuller offers the idea that it is the duty of the victims to come up with the solutions, since logic dictates that whites who benefit from the racist/white supremacist status quo would be extremely averse to changing this situation that they benefit unjustly from. Since we only have so much time on this earth, it is imperative to make the best, most constructive usage of that relatively short time.
This book is such a valuable tool, because it is one of the few books of this magnitude, along with Dr. Frances Cress Welsing’s seminal work, the Isis Papers, Baba Mwalimu Baruti’s collection of material, and perhaps Dr. Amos Wilson’s Blueprint for Black Power, that attempts to offer such practical solutions without the author attempting to create some sort of cult of personality around them. This book is all about the elimination of racism/white supremacy through the use of “codified” thought, speech and action, not about Mr. Neely Fuller’s religious or political organization, or the glorification of himself as a “leader”. In fact, the term United Independent, which is in the title, refers to the concept of people working “together” in the sense that we are united in firstly agreeing that the system of racism/white supremacy exists, secondly, agreeing that it is a problem of colossal magnitude, and thirdly, working towards solutions for ending the problem. But independent in the sense that Black people must decide for our individual selves what code to follow, and what ways in which we individually can constructively work to eliminate the problem.
In this book Mr. Fuller offers the unorthodox and somewhat controversial idea that Black people should avoid each other and seek to be alone to work on the problem if we are not coming together for constructive purposes, i.e. trading ideas and solutions to racism/white supremacy, or repairing or producing something of constructive value in service of eliminating the problem. This idea, considering the amount of anti-Black contamination that many Black people have been poisoned with is logical, although painfully so. In some ways this suggestion is quite brilliant, knowing how most humans have an innate need for socializing. This idea would plant the idea within Black people who want to socialize, to come up with some constructive purpose to see those who we enjoy spending time with, rather than to come together to just sit around idly, or engage in self-destructive activities. This is a brilliant idea that could possibly serve to make the concept of coming up with desperately needed solutions to a very dire, deadly and grim problem a somewhat enjoyable endeavor.
Some of the suggestions within this text are without a doubt unconventional and may strike some as a bit strict and frankly odd, considering our conditioning of what is considered “normal”. And truthfully, there is very little likelihood that any human can follow all of these suggestions to the letter. There are even some ideas that I personally have slight objections to, at least at this point in my personal development, such as his assertion that there is only one race, which is the white race. But that aside, there definitely is a certain amount of logic in every suggestion, even if it may take some deep thought to be able to fully grasp it, especially if you are honest about the condition that we as Black people find ourselves in under white supremacy, as well as the urgency of the problem. This book is directed at those who have an insatiable hunger for justice and a deep need to see the system of racism/white supremacy ended, and are looking for answers to the question of what can they do to see that racism/white supremacy, the lifeblood of the white race is eliminated forever. This book is a paradigm shifting, revolutionary (in its own way) text, that I think all Black people who are serious about ending the system of racism/white supremacy, the scourge of the earth, should read.
